Facilities
The company operates from approximately 8 hectares, of which 5 hectares were developed in 1998 to provide high standard industrial warehousing, office space, production facilities, and a 6 container loading bay.
Core Services and Products
Mahogany, teak, other indigenous wood and fibers, for indoor furniture, either produced by external craftsmen or in-house. Can be offered in either kiln or air-dry. Finishing in various stains , paints , distress , natural and hand painting motifs. Sourcing and Consolidation of other Indonesian products including ironwork and accessories. Production for hotel and office contracts.
Customer Base and Standard Terms
The company is 100% export mainly to independent distributors and larger retailers where no distribution network is established. The company operates an exchange rate scheme to pass on a fair share of profits resulting in currency fluctuations.

Equipment
In-house production facilities include 2 timber kilns, saw mill, and industrial wood working equipment. In-house sanding with approximately 300 sanding machines. Finishing equipment includes 6 infrared and diesel drying booths, 7 water curtain and 4 dry spraying booths. Full accessories, glass cutting and leather and upholstery departments. Communications
The company employs native English speaking technical advisors, as well as English speaking heads of marketing and production. The company uses email, and uses Microsoft Windows and Office ® applications, as well as common imaging programs.
Employees and Employee Benefits
750 full time employees and approximately 130 in-house subcontractors. Approximately 150 independent companies supply raw furniture bodies. All employees receive pension, accident and life insurance and free health care for themselves and their immediate families. The company operates an onsite health clinic with full time nurses and a consultant doctor. All employees are paid in excess of government pay guidelines, and in addition receive lunch allowance, and annual bonus. The company has an equal opportunity and pay system regardless of sex and religion. The company operates a productivity and profit share scheme for all employees and in-house contractors. The scheme distributes a fair share of monthly profits equally to all employees in an attempt to improve delivery times, quality and price to the benefit of customers and employees alike.
Environmental
All wood used for in-house production is certified by the Indonesian forestry department. Although raw furniture bought from outside contractors cannot be individually certified, the company calculates purchase price to at least allow the supplier to use certified wood and pay decent rates of pay. The company does not claim to be operating to western standards in areas of health and safty and environment, but the management is concerned and actively improving conditions. |
